How I will proceed for online application ?

To apply visit
www.ntpccareers.com . (Only online mode of
application is entertained).
|
|
Select the region & discipline for apply (Once
selected, that can not be changed).
|
|
The registration form will be shown in the
screen. The candidate is required to fill up the application form. After
filling the application form, the candidate will click on submit button.
|
|
On clicking on ‘submit’ button, the
confirmation page will be shown. Here candidate can make some
changes/correction in his application by clicking on ‘edit’ button. If no
changes are to be done, the candidate can click on ‘confirm’ button.
|
|
On clicking confirm button, Registration
slip(for all candidates) and bank challan (only in case of General & OBC
candidates) will be generated.
|
|
Carry the challan to the nearest branch of
State Bank of India and make payment of Rs. 200/- ( only in case of General/OBC
candidates). A challan number will be given by Bank.
|
|
Fill up the required data in the registration
slip such as Challan number (given by bank), date & name of branch of SBI,
affix your recent coloured passport size photograph and put your signature in
the space provided in the registration slip. Retain a copy of registration slip
for your reference.

|
Send the duly filled registration slip
alongwith NTPC copy of challan (in case of General & OBC candidates) and
certificate (in case of SC/ST/PWD candidates) to the following address by
ordinary post:

Superscribe the envelope by writing DIPLOMA
TRAINEE along with Discipline(Electrical/ Mechanical/ Civil/ C&I) & unique

| How I will generate the Bank Challan
? |
|
|
On successful submission of application form
registration slip will be generated. Alongwith registration slip, the copy of
bank challan (triplicate) will be automatically generated. You are required to
carry the challan to the nearest State Bank of India branch to deposit the
registration fee of Rs. 200/-.

To whom the candidate will send the registration slip alongwith
copy of bank challan and caste certificate (if any).
|
|
|
After making payment of Rs. 200/- in SBI (in
case of General/OBC candidates), the candidate will Send the duly filled
registration slip alongwith NTPC copy of challan (in case of General & OBC
candidates) and certificate (in case of SC/ST/PWD candidates) to the following

I have appeared for my final Semester Examinations and the results are expected to be announced shortly. Am I eligible to apply?

The candidates should have passed their Diploma (Full time) as on 06.01.2010 ( last date of online registration) and hence you are not eligible to apply .

In my Diploma Course only CGPA / GPA / SGPA or letter grade has been awarded in place of percentage of marks. Can I enter the grade in my application?
|

|
Candidates, who have been awarded CGPA / GPA / SGPA or letter grades, should convert the grades to % and provide only the equivalent percentage of marks in the application form.
|

I have scored 69.5% marks in my Diploma and belong to General Category. Am I eligible to apply ?
|
|
|
The minimum percentage requirement in Diploma in Engineering is 70. Hence you are not eligible to apply.

I am a Diploma Holder meeting all requirements with respect to Qualifications belonging to the General Category. I am 27 years and 5 days old on 01st January, 2010 . Am I eligible to apply?

The upper age limit of 27 Years is prescribed as on 01st January, 2010. Hence you are not eligible.

Can I apply for more than one region ?
|
|
|
You can apply for more than one region. But you have to choose one region for appearing the written test as the written test for all regions will be held on 21.02.2010.

I had submitted my application and sent the Registration Slip along with NTPC Challan copy and required certificates by registered post. But I have not received any acknowledgement from your end. I would like to know whether my Registration Slip has reached your Office?

You may enter your Registration No. and Date of Birth in the ‘Latest Status’ link of our Home Page on this site and you can get information about your application, Written Test, etc.

Can I send a Cheque in lieu of the Challan along with the registration Slip?
|
|
|
Only the NTPC copy of Challan after depositing amount of Rs. 200/- in SBI, should be sent. No other form of payment is acceptable.

Should I enclose any self-addressed/stamped envelope along with the Registration Slip?
|
|
|
You need not enclose any self-addressed/stamped envelope along with the Registration Slip as you have to download your written test Admit Card and other documents from the web-site.
Documents and Certificates

I am a SC/ST/OBC candidate but don't have the caste certificate, can I apply as a General candidate?
|
|
|
If you so desire, you may apply as General Candidate (if eligible for Gen category) giving your category as "General". In such an event, your candidature will be considered as "GENERAL" and no change in category shall be allowed at a later date.
|

I am working in a Govt/ Public Sector Company. Should I enclose NOC from my employer at the time of applying for the written test?
|
|
|
Candidates presently employed in Central/State Govt departments, PSUs, autonomous bodies should submit the NOC at the time of Interview, in case they qualify in the written test.
|
|
| |
|
Will any Travelling Allowance be paid to me for attending the Written Test / Interview?
|
|
|
No Travelling Allowance is payable to the candidates for attending the Written Test. You will have to attend the Written test at your own expense.
Candidates attending the Interview will be reimbursed second sleeper train fare as per rules. However, at the time of Interview if it is found that the candidate does not fulfil any of the eligibility conditions, he will neither be allowed for the Interview nor paid any Travelling Allowance.
